The Town of Timnath was established in 1882 as a busy hub of fur trading and an agricultural community. Its location on the Cache la Poudre River initially attracted early settlers to the fertile land and over time, its proximity to larger communities. In the next 20 years, the Town of Timnath is projected to grow by 27 square miles, while adding 20,000 new residents.
